Attention bourbon fans — our first ever single barrel whiskey pick is here! Earlier this year, our friends at @artalewine asked us to go halfsies on a full barrel of whiskey, so we headed into Chicago, visited our buds at CH Distilling, and tasted through a few bourbons. Well, to be honest, more than a few. And maybe a few shots of Malört for good measure. Bottled at cask strength (61.1⁰!), this high rye bourbon exhibits huge vanilla and oak aromas and lingering cinnamon on the palate — especially when proofed down with a little water or when it's worked into a cocktail.
