Folks, we always dread this when we plan outdoor events, but due to increasingly bad weather forecast for Saturday coupled with some personal health issues, we are going to have to postpone Picklefest till August. Yes, the Olympic will still have tons of pickle food features this weekend and we are working with our buddies at FlexCourt and the City of Rockford to re-book this event in August (final date will be announced after clearance with the City.) On the positive side, this gives us more time to add some outdoor vendors and more neighborhood / kid-friendly fun stuff to the event, so please stay tuned to this page, as we'll edit the date and info as we get things changed around. Tonight's a great night for a beer outside. Yesterday was good too, and tomorrow's also a nice option, but really there's no time like the present to try a beer that you're simply not going to find on tap elsewhere in town, like Mikerphone Limon Cello, Solemn Oath Man Vs Internet, and Revolution Ryeway to Heaven, just to name drop a few. Plus all steaks and bottles of house wine are $5 off on Thursdays, so you just relax &, kick back while we crank up the grill and handle the dishes tonight. Mussels, white sangria, and more summer features keep popping up on our daily features — stop in to find out what's fresh!
The weather is fantastic and our kitchen and bar crews are kicking it into high gear with some killer summer items. Say hello to fresh PEI mussels (3 ways – spicy tomato, white wine and garlic, and chorizo jalapeno), seared ahi tuna (app or entree), fried clam strips, and tons of new beers, wines and cocktails to cool you off. Drop in or check our menu online for curbside pickup till 11pm on the weekends. We'll be featuring our Boat House Punch, a bright and floral cocktail with gin, St Germain elderflower liqueur, and fresh juices, topped with prosecco and an edible flower. The patio is already jamming for lunch, and we've got new weekend features like a fresh batch of raw oysters (Peachtree and Delaware), seared ahi tuna appetizer with sesame cucumber salad, fried clam strips (available as an app or a combo dinner with fried cod and shrimp), seared scallops with tequila lime butter, sauteed sweet corn & peppers, and late night munchies till 11pm like our burnt end brisket nachos.
