Let's talk truth in advertising for a second …We see a lot of places advertising "walleye" on their Friday Fish Fry, but after talking with our seafood supplier, what a lot of places are serving is actually European pike, aka Zander. It's in the same family tree, but it's not the same thing, so if you're getting "walleye" for $12, you're probably not eating actual walleye. For what it's worth, we buy the best quality American/Canadian walleye we can find, and right now we're serving it blackened over cajun cream sauce with peppers, onions, andouille and rice.
